Provided you contact the RNLI life guard station on arrival and ensure your child has a Kidz Zone coloured tag, it will help with their safety. If your child should wander off it is easier for the life guard to find the area they have come from. In the sea there will be flags denoting the conditions and it essential that you abide by these for your safety and your child’s. Whilst you will always need to keep an eye on the children we hope that the area has been made safer with life guards watching the beach all the time.
The facilities have provision for visitors with disabilities. For permanent wheelchair users and one carer there is also free use of the land trains, cliff lifts and no pier tolls. Beach wheelchairs are available from Seafront Offices for ease of access onto our beaches. Parking is available on the beach front
Between 1st May and 30th September dogs are not permitted on the beach (guide dogs expected) except for the areas marked for dog exercise. Dogs are permitted on the promenade but must kept on a lead..
